Preparation before general pest control
- Remove all items that are not supposed to be sprayed e.g. clothes on the line, shoes, sandals, kid toys, pet’s water/food bowl, food related items.
- Cover up veggie patch with plastic or move them indoor if possible. Cover the edible parts only. If edible parts got sprayed, they are not edible for 6 months.
- Arrange for pets to be away during the treatment and also 2 hours after that. So roughly about 4 hours.
- Fish pond have to be covered with plastic.
- Outdoor cushions should be moved indoor (just the cushions).
- Grass should be cut short.
- Clean up the outdoor area from cat or dog litter.
- Swimming pool need to be covered as well.
- Notify your neighbour about the treatment time so they can also remove items no 1 and 3 from outdoor area.
- If your neighbour has veggie patch near the fence, please notify us. In this situation we won’t be able to spray the fence area.
- Tidy up and vacuum & mop as you should not mop for 1 week after the treatment.
- Ensure clear access to the manhole to roof cavity.
- Close all windows but open all curtains/shutters if possible.
- Move things away from the wall but don’t worry too much about heavy items.
- Keep all food/drink items inside the cabinet if possible.
- Keep toothbrushes inside the cabinet.
- Towels should be removed from the hanger.
- Leave the property for 4 hours (from the start of the treatment).
After general pest control
- Make sure floor area/outdoor area is dry before reentering to property.
- Do not mop for one week.
- Do not clean windows for 2 weeks.
- If you need to mop, do spot mopping instead.
- It is normal to see more pest activity for 2 weeks because they have to get out of their hiding places
