Preparations for Pantry Moth treatment
Before the treatment:
- Go over pantry items, one by one, inspect with torch if there is a sign of pantry moth infesting the item. Throw away infested items into the outdoor council bin. If you are unsure or in doubt, just throw the item away or put the items separately to be inspected by the pest technician.
- Empty all pantry cupboard, clean it from any spillage with vacuum cleaner and then warm soapy water.
- Vacuum clean the kitchen area, especially the corner where the floor meets the wall.
After the treatment:
- Do not wipe or mop the treated area for one week.
- Put back the pantry items into the cupboard.
- Make sure there is no opened food items in the cupboard.
- Three weeks after the treatment if the moths are not under control please let us know.
